My name is Nykia Moore, and I am the proud Founder and CEO of Women Rebirth Shelter. This vision was born from my journey through pain, survival, healing, and transformation. From the ages of 16-22, I experienced the harsh reality of being kicked out of my home and forced to survive on the streets. With very to little guidance or protection, I found myself in relationships with older man just to have a place to sleep- relationship that were filled with abuse, manipulation, and toxic lust disgusted as love.
At 25, I reached a turning point. I made the decision that I would no longer be a victim of my past. I chose to unlearn what life had taught me in survival mode and relearn how to live with purpose, dignity, and wholeness. I went back to school and earned my high school diploma, and since then, I’ve obtained numerous certifications that allows me to serve and lead others with integrity and impact.
Today, I stand as a healed empowered woman who knows that lived experience is one of the most powerful forms of education. I believe that the best teachers are those who have walked the path themselves l. Through women Rebirth Shelter, I am committed to using my story, wisdom, and strength to help other women rise above their circumstances. My mission is to guide them into healing- mentally, physically and emotionally. So they too can be free and fully restored.
